Tsao Tali

Mr Tsao Tali was born in 1934.Beijing. Imigrated to Indonesia with his parents in 1941. He began to study painting at the age of 13 and held his personal exhibition in Sishui in 1955. Admitted into the Department of Oil Painting, China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1956. As a currently a professional painter at the Beijing Art Academy and also a member of Chinese Artist Association after graduation. He has attended many domestic and foreign exhibitions.,held solo exhibition in Los Angeles of the United States in 1987.His works roam between concrete image and abstract. These works shows special exotic and personal painting style, which is totally different from other painters of his age. He firstly used the surrealism style on his oil painting works of “The Other Shore” and “Small Boat”. After he came back from the United States, he started to use the realistic apparoach, surreal fantasy and cubist ideas in creating a batch of art works.
